Heather and Jonathan’s wedding at The Mount Without in Bristol was nothing short of extraordinary. As a documentary and editorial wedding photographer covering Cardiff, South Wales, and the UK, I was honoured to capture this beautiful day filled with emotion, elegance, and energy.
The Mount Without, a deconsecrated church full of gothic charm and timeless architecture, offered the perfect backdrop for their love story. The day began with Heather getting ready alongside her loved ones, while talented makeup artist Evie Smith worked her magic. From the first brushstroke to the final detail of her dress, Heather radiated beauty and excitement.
They travelled to the ceremony in a vintage car — a classic touch that perfectly reflected the romantic, nostalgic feel of the day. Inside the church, celebrant Lara J Nash led a heartfelt ceremony, weaving personal stories with poetic vows that moved everyone in attendance.
After the “I do’s”, the celebration continued in The Crypt below — a space buzzing with joy, laughter, and music from DJ Awesome Wells. One of the most unique touches was a live tarot reading session by The Wedding Witch, which added a magical and mysterious layer to the evening.
As a wedding photographer, I always aim to document moments as they naturally unfold — and this day was full of them: real laughter, quiet tears, stolen glances, and wild dancing. Heather and Jonathan’s love story was raw, real, and unforgettable, and I’m grateful to have preserved every part of it through timeless imagery.
